My husband wanted to show a co-worker — recently hired from New Zealand — around Japan. We took him and his lovely girlfriend to Chichibu.
When I was young I loved to watch my dad and brother play video games. In my teens I played, but it was never as fun as watching was for me.

Living far from home can be lonely, especially in a foreign country. To survive I have relied on friendships. This Christmas was no different.

I have been a bit inactive lately. It’s the winter blues. My mood is very affected by the weather.
If I haven’t been commenting or writing as much it’s mainly because of those horrible winter blues. I don’t go out except for work. I recently met friends in Tokyo, friends I adore, but I still hated going out in the cold.
It seems like everyone gets kind of the same. Down and cooped up in their homes ’til it warms up again.
Then there is that weird person who loves the winter and we winter-haters all shake our heads at…
Back in November, I talked about playing the Tokyo Metro Underground Mysteries Game. Now that the game is over for this year, I can post this video with spoilers.
This is how you play and how we solved it. It’s an amazing game. It won’t be back until next fall and will have a completely new format.
