Injected with Gonadotropin

After lots of waiting…

We waited for hours before the doctor would see us. The follicle increased only a little from yesterday. There is no LH surge and the E2 only went up by six or so. That’s a bad sign. The follicle might be losing it’s strength.

I’m going to exercise like mad when I get home and see if blood circulation will help.

The doctor recommended an injection of Gonadotropin which does just what it names means. “Gonads”. It is an FSH hormone designed to push the follicle to mature. I worry that means this egg is no good since it seems to be petering out after doing so well.

I hope it’s not too late.

This evening will be a vigorous workout.

When I was in my twenties, I moved to Japan and met a man there. We embarked on our adventure through life and love. I have lived with him in Japan ever since. We want to start a family, but that is proving difficult. I struggle with infertility. We almost had a child, but that ended in tragedy. Now we enjoy each day and hope that one day we'll hear the pitter-patter of little feet and the bubbly laughter of a child. In the meantime, I enjoy writing, love, studying, traveling, and working. These posts are my thoughts and stories of my life here.
