The House of Greenish Tea

Under the shadow of the Kanazawa Castle hides a little tea shop, near a majestic garden that was reopened last year. Instead of the castle, we took my brother to the garden and relaxed in the air conditioning with treats and tea.

Here is a video of his experience:

Several times he was asked if his parasol was a “katana”. Even the tea servers in the Tea House were tickled pink by it and asked him if they could unfurl it. They kept saying, “Sugoi”.

It’s strange that so many Japanese found it fascinating since it could be bought at most tourist shops in Kanazawa or Kyoto.
